Refractometer for measuring AdBlue concentration
A refractometer is a device that allows
the determination of the physical properties of a liquid by measuring the refractive index at the interface of the medium. The refractometer can be used to determine the
concentration of AdBlue.
Main advantages:- Measures the concentration of AdBlue additive
- Compact size of the device
- The device does not need any battery and does not require assembly
- High operational reliability and long service life
- Small deviation and high measurement accuracy
- The body of the device is made of light and durable special aluminum alloy
- Requires virtually no maintenance
- Part of the device is equipped with a soft, rubber cover
Measurement options:- AdBlue additive concentration in the range of 0 - 40%
Measurement method:- 1. Take a small amount of liquid with a pipette.
- 2. Lift the cover plate and apply 2-3 drops of liquid to the prism of the instrument.
- 3. Fold the cover plate back so that the measured liquid is evenly and bubble-free spread over the surface of the prism.
- 4. After 30 seconds, direct the cover plate at the light source and look into the eyepiece.
- 5. The image must be focused using the focus ring. And read the position of the light/shadow transition on the appropriate scale indicating the properties of the given liquid.
