The refractometer is a device that allows the determination of the physical properties of liquids by measuring the refractive index at the media boundary. This refractometer can measure battery charge level, freezing point of cooling fluids based on propylene glycol or ethylene glycol, freezing point of windshield washer fluids, and also the concentration of AdBlue additive.

Measurement Instructions:

• 1. Use the pipette to collect a small amount of fluid.
• 2. Lift the cover plate and apply 2-3 drops of fluid onto the device’s prism.
• 3. Close the cover plate back, ensuring the liquid spreads evenly without bubbles across the prism’s surface.
• 4. After 30 seconds, direct the cover plate towards a light source and look into the eyepiece.
• 5. Focus the image using the focus ring and read the transition from light to dark on the corresponding scale.
